Recently I went to see the beautiful documentary film walk with me about Mindfulness Master Thich Nhat Hanh, and his centre, Plum Village, in France.

The film followed a few of the monks as they went into juvenile prisons and city streets and parks (and one section on funfair rides!), as well as showing Hanh in Plum Village and outside teaching. Benedict Cumberbatch narrates various extracts from Hanh’s early journals about his experiences in his inner growth.

Sitting watching the film was a wonderful experience of teaching and peace incorporated into a light hearted film with a deeply serious underlying message important to us all – to live in the present moment – life only happens in the present moment, so we must live in awareness of the present moment.

If you get a chance to go and see this film you must! It is wonderful and you will leave the cinema relaxed and refreshed, and probably walking a little slower!
