How do I begin a Centering Prayer practice?
Take baby steps.
If you must, start with 1-5 minutes.
Slowly increase the time to 10 minutes.
Then 15 minutes.
Then 20 minutes.
Add a second sit.
Never underestimate the power of a second sit.
Take baby steps with the second sit if you must.
If you miss a sit, do not beat yourself up.
Be kind to yourself.
Be gentle with yourself.
Just show up for your next sit.
Do not judge your sits.
God loves you and will patiently wait for you.
Trust the process.
Centering Prayer practiced daily, weekly, monthly, yearly will transform you.
When you open to the presence and actions of God within, God will act in you.
