“This watching of our thoughts is probably the most effective way of managing our thoughts.”
– Mary Margaret Funk
You are not your thoughts.
You can acknowledge their presence.
You can step away from your thoughts and observe them.
What do they tell you?
They might inform you that you feel worried, anxious, angry, lonely, sad or unconfident.
This is not who you are.
This is only how you feel.
They do not need to define you and what you can accomplish!
We will be wise to consider Mary Margaret Funk’s continued comments.
“We are not our thoughts. If we do not think about them and go into the commentary and the emotional valences attached to these thoughts, they simply dissolve like a vapor in the air.”
Let me know if I can help.
