Have you tried a 1 minute sit?
It does not replace my longer sits.
It complements them.
I currently work from home.
I have a task that involves problem solving.
I recognize that I need Divine Wisdom to help me.
I open my Contemplative Outreach App in my iPhone.
I set the timer for 1 minute.
I sit on a chair in our den which I now use as my work office.
The opening bell rings.
I begin my 1 minute mini sit.
The closing bell rings.
My sit is over.
And I am back to work.
I find that even a 1 minute sit can be most helpful during the workday.
I am now better prepared.
I am ready to hone in on the task in front of me.
Just like during Centering Prayer I let go of the things that will not help me and focus on the things that will.
Never underestimate the power of even a 1 minute sit during the day.
Let me know if I can help.
