Centering Prayer is about consent and intention.

We sit in wordless prayer.

We open to the presence and actions of God within.

It is difficult to sit in silence.

It is hard to just be.

We have better things to do.

We should be doing things rather than just sitting here.

What about all those tasks I need to do?

These are all thoughts.

With the use of our sacred word we let them all go.

And open to the presence and actions of God within.

Overtime it is like a runner’s high.

We are better able to just sit.

It is not as difficult.

We enter a deep and vast space.

We look forward to these times.

We need these sits.

They are a place we come from.

They teach us how to live.

They ground us in the present.

They show us the way forward.

Let me know if I can help.
